Students with a valid driver's license from their home country who have made an agreement can also obtain recognition for their license in Korea.
We provide guidance on the process of exchanging your home country's license for a Korean driver's license while living in Korea.
The exchange of the license costs total of 200,000 KRW fee if you do it by yourself. However, if you are applying with HireVisa, you are certified as an international students and able to exchange for free.
(Fees for guidance and issuance of the license have to be paid separately to the Korean government.)
To exchange and issue a Korean driver's license, you need to prepare one of the following documents:
