Eligible Visa to apply

•
Only D-2 visa holders can apply (excluding D-2-5).
•
Applications can only be made within 90 days from the date of entry into Korea.

Application Process(1 Step ~ 4 Step)

1.
Click the APPLY button and follow the process (upload the document).
2.
Hirevisa will send you an email after confirming your application for an extension. If you need to supplement it, please look at the contents of the email carefully and supplement it.
3.
Please wait for the confirmation email regarding the completion of your online application
4.
Once all the procedures have been completed, you can receive an extension authorization confirmation by e-mail. * The extension confirmation file has a legal effect. * How to update the date on the back of the RC can be found through the file below.

Notice

•
The final approval process takes approximately 3 to 4 weeks from the time the application is completed at the immigration office.
•
You must stay in Korea during the extension processing period, and you may not be allowed to leave the country.
•
Please note that if you are Bachelor's degree (D2-2) → Master's degree (D2-3), or Master's degree (D2-3) → Doctor (D2-4) and the school you did the Bachelor (or Master) is different from the one you are going to attend for Master (or Doctor), you need to apply for an extension of the sojourn period within 15 days of the start of the semester.

3.
Please wait for the email from immigration.
4.
Once all the procedures have been completed, you can receive an extension/change authorization confirmation by e-mail. * The extension confirmation file has a legal effect. * How to update the date on the back of the RC can be found through the file below.

Notice

•
The final issuance period is about 3 to 4 weeks from the time the application is completed at the immigration office.
•
You must stay in Korea during the administrative agency processing period, and you may not be allowed to leave the country.
•
An application for an extension can be made at the earliest four months before the expiration date of your stay.
•
Petition applications should be made at least 2 business days before the expiration date of your stay. Therefore, it is highly recommended to apply in advance.
